Quilting Services
Edge to Edge Quilting
This is quilting from one edge of the quilt to the other, usually in rows. Often a pantograph pattern is used but sometimes the quilting is freehand stippling or meandering. In edge to edge quilting there is little regard for the piecing of the quilt.
Custom Quilting
In this type of quilting, careful attention is paid to the piecing of the quilt. The quilt top piecing dictates the quilting.
Basting for Hand Quilters
The quilt top, batting, and backing will be basted with long stitches then given back to the owner for hand quilting.
Binding
We offer a number of different binding services. Typically, our binding services include cutting and piecing strips to make one continuous binding, attaching that binding by machine to the front of the quilt, and hand stitching the binding to the back of the quilt. However some of my clients like to do their own hand-stitching, and will have me prepare the binding and machine-stitch it to the back, so that they may hand-stitch the front themselves.
